Local anesthesiologist Dr. Barry Friedberg, who works with cosmetic and plastic surgeons, tells me his book "Anesthesia in Cosmetic Surgery" is being translated into Portuguese to be sold in Brazil.
His publisher is so excited he paid Barry in advance for all the Portuguese-language copies to be printed. Why?
Says Barry: "Brazil, not the United States, is the world epicenter for cosmetic surgery."
"And, all along," said a crushed Jack Graburg, "I thought those girls down there in those Carnival-time mini costumes were just built that way."
